The County Moose have signed a St. Stephen native and forward, Noah Smith, as they prepare for the inaugural season playing junior hockey in the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC). Smith played last year for the Saint John Vitos in the NB/PEI U18 Major Hockey League. Smith dressed for the Vitos 36 times in the regular season and tallied 3 goals and 2 assists. In addition, the Moose have signed two players who played in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League last year.
Nolan Gabbard is a defenseman from Owen Sound, Ontario. He played last year for the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners. Gabbard, an 18 year old, tallied four assists in the 21 games he played with the Gold Miners. Nolan Garrard Stats and Player Profile | NOJHL League Site
Bronx Bondar, a goalie, joins the County Moose after playing for the Blind River Beavers. Bondar suited up 21 times for the Beavers Hockey Club and posted an impressive 11 Wins, 7 Losses and 2 Overtime Losses for the 2024/25 season. His goals against average was 3.05. The Moose have a busy weekend ahead of them. Coach Kyle Adams will be running an identification camp from Sept. 5-7. The camp will be held at the Garcelon Civic Center and is open to the public. The schedule for the sessions is as follows.
Friday (3:45–5:15 PM) – practice session: get the legs moving and prepare for the weekend ahead.
Saturday (11:30–1:00 PM) – Battle drills, 3-on-3s, and 4-on-4s.
Saturday (4:15–5:15 PM) – Game action.
Sunday (12:30–2:30 PM) – Final game & player evaluations.
The County Moose open their season on Friday, September 19th at 7pm at the Garcelon Civic Center.
