The County Moose, playing out of the Garcelon Civic Center in St. Stephen, will drop the puck on their inaugural season on Friday, September 19. The Moose will play in the American-based National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC). The National Collegiate Development Conference showcases high level junior hockey.

The league website describes the conference as the most direct route to NCAA hockey, as well as advancement to Tier I hockey in the U.S. and Canada. The NCDC 26 teams are divided across three conferences: New England, Atlantic and Mountain conferences. County Moose will play in the North Division of the New England Conference which features three teams from Maine and the three Canadian based teams in the league.

The Moose will play a 50 game schedule and their home opener is slated for Sept. 19 against the CT North Chiefs. The CT North Chiefs are also a new team in the league this year. The CT North Chiefs actually purchased their NCDC franchise from the ownership group of the Eastern Charlotte Kingfishers. The Kingfishers were trying to launch an NCDC franchise squad that played out of the Blacks Harbour arena but the sale of the franchise to the CT North Chiefs organization was announced in August 2025.
